Meet Dr. Mark Harary
Dr. Harary earned his undergraduate degree in Movement Science from the University of Michigan in 1998. He went on to medical school at Ross University, where he graduated with honors in 2002. After obtaining his medical degree, Dr. Harary completed a family medicine residency at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He then completed his fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
Dr. Harary is board-certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Harary strives to be actively involved in his community. He has given numerous educational talks on various topics, including nonsurgical treatments for arthritis and concussions. He has served on the planning committee for the annual Arthritis Walk for several years, serving as the Walk Chair for the NYC Arthritis Walk in 2014.
Dr. Harary specializes in the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal problems in both pediatric and adult patients. He has a special interest in treating concussions, osteoarthritis, fractures, and other acute injuries. He employs the most up-to-date treatments for these conditions, including ultrasound-guided injections and PRP treatments. He enjoys helping his patients return to and maintain active lifestyles. Dr. Harary is a concussion specialist with St. Charles Hospital’s ThinkSMART!™ Concussion Management Program, which provides baseline testing and concussion management for over 40 school districts in Suffolk County. He serves as the sideline team physician for the Commack High School and Miller Place High School football teams.
